C what the Nation Is Brewing!
The CNIB iFactor 2010 Collection
What is the iFactor music competition?
The iFactor is a CNIB-sponsored, Canadian Idol-style music competition for Canadians who are living with significant vision loss. First launched in May 2009, the iFactor has now completed its third season. Hosted annually at the CNIB Lake Joseph Centre, the competition gives 10 Canadians the chance of a lifetime to showcase their talents and follow their dreams.
‘C what the Nation Is Brewing’ is a compilation CD put together by the top 10 semi-finalists at the 2010 iFactor competition. The 10 competitors had such a great time competing, learning and growing through their experience at the iFactor, that they wanted to give something back and ensure that the program would continue to offer this valuable experience to others.
So, as an independent initiative, they have produced this compilation CD. The goal is to raise funds from CD sales to support the CNIB and the iFactor program, and to promote and support the talent of the individual musicians who took part in that competition.
Each semi-finalist donated one of the 10 tracks on the CD, 8 of which are original compositions, and all of which showcase the amazing talent of the competitors. To listen to clips of the tracks, click on the link below, then click on one of the “Listen to…” buttons.
